(Dharma) Bread Crumb #11
Pain and horror shock and disrupt, and driven by loud emotion we want immediately to deal with and fix the situation.
This is true of us all, including Dharma students and practitioners. But when pushed too far, we may turn and act without thought. And without fore-thought, we won’t know where our action(s) will lead.
Therefore, consider:
Neither deviate from your path, nor hurry to finish. Do not force things; combine determination with patience. It takes a long time do a thing properly, this is especially true for the intense and thorough mind transformations the Dharma guides us into and through.
Follow the teachings. Follow where they send your mind. And remain practical . . . it is hard to walk without touching the ground. And walk we must . . . mindfully, with purpose . . . without being a hypocrite to the awakened guidance abiding in our mind.
-Neither grief or a broken heart, or fear, precludes us from doing this.
