So, the paradigm has temporarily shifted, and we’re back to police shootings in the headlines.
Violence of a somewhat different order, steeped not in international terrorism but domestic fear and hatred.
Same “sport” – different playing field.
The scenes are repetitive: raw videos, furious/heartbroken families, shocked and protocol-following police and government overseers, community protests, internal investigations, grand juries, etc.
Yet they continue.

Our teachings urge not only study, contemplation and meditation but engagement . . . whenever and wherever the causes of suffering are noted, we do what we can.
And the causes of suffering are everywhere.
-Neither grief or a broken heart, or fear, precludes you from doing this.
