Water is round when in a round receptacle and square in a square one, but water as water has no particular shape.
It is good to remember this.

We see things as this and that, we like this and dislike that; always discriminating based on individual perspectives. Then, caught in their entanglements, forming attachments to them, we suffer the consequences.
But deep beneath our self-generated perspectives, lies the fundamental and true essence of mind.
And like water, it has no particular shape . . . it is formless . . . it is free.
It is difficult to describe this nature of mind, words are used to define finite things, and there is nothing finite about fundamental mind.

Consider:
To see those things to which you attach as ultimately imaginary and falsely perceived is to step closer to the purity of your fundamental mind.
Doing this would begin to free you from defilements and illusory pursuits, and you would begin to experience the perfect peace that accompanies that freedom.

Those on path begin to recognize the presence and workings of fundamental mind by working backwards toward it . . . identifying the defilements, understanding them, and tracing their existence back to the source.
Once done, we instinctively begin living the moments of our lives moving forward, unobstructed by defilements, being who we are propelled by the awakened energy of fundamental mind.

Water as water has no particular shape.
Neither does mind.
Allow your mind to materialize in its purest way.
Wake up.
No one but you can do this.
