The Unencumbered Mind

55Sometimes words can be lightning rods for emotion, action, anxiety, etc.
And at other times, words can be quieting, soothing, door-opening.

A word not heard very often these days is “pristine” . . . I’d like to dance a bit with how it relates to mind.

The Tibetan practices teach, and provide practices to uncover and touch
our mind at its core, where it is perfectly Pristine.

Pristine Mind is a beautiful, naturally vibrant state, brimming with life, self-sustaining in its capacity to provide a dependable, inexhaustible source of happiness and joy.

It is within RIGHT NOW as you read this . . . it is who you really are, the mind you were born with, you can never lose it . . . and nothing can destroy it.

Not Trump.  Not fear.
Not hatred. Not aging.
Not illness. Not anger.
Not ignorance. Not jealousy.
Not arrogance. Not government.
Not family, lovers or children.
Not enemies. Not experiences.
Not comfort zones. Not death.
Not anything.

The Pristine Mind is inherently and permanently pure.
Through it, our senses are vibrant and alive, our perceptions pure.

It is your birthright.
Turn yourself toward its emergence.

Here’s how:

—   Appreciate your precious human life and all who have and do make it possible (be vast in your perceptions).

—   Understand and embrace the changeable nature of all that exists (including you).

—   Be aware of the consequences of your intentions and actions.

—   Learn to sit quietly and watch the workings of your mind.

—   Bring what you learn from ALL of the above into everything you do.

Your Pristine Mind, unencumbered, lies within you.
The quest toward it is completely safe, beautiful and rewarding.

Bring it forward.

Neither grief or a broken heart, or fear, precludes you from doing this.
